Synthetic biology is a new field of biotechnology that aims to engineer cellular systems for applications in medicine, alternative energy, and basic science. The Harvard iGEM team is a group of undergraduates participating in the International Genetically Engineered Machines competition, the premiere synthetic biology design competition held annually at MIT. iGEM students participate in original research during the summer and present their work at the international jamboree in the fall.

The 2011 Harvard Team is on track
Hi all,
We’ve been a little late catching up on the Social Media side of Harvard iGEM, but here we are! This year we’ve got a great team and our TFs hail from the Church Lab. We’re taking advantage of some great technology from the Church Lab to investigate genetic diversity in a short time frame. More info to come as the proper iGEM wiki page ends its construction phase. Team and TFs intros to come!
